 Previous Fire Conferences

The first Fire Conference was held back in 1998. Our Fire Conferences have been an amazing Friday and Saturday given completely to spending time in fellowship, worship and intense teaching of the word of God

God has met us during these meetings and has planted seed into the hearts of many young people and adults.  It is our desire that this conference become a bi-annual event here and that we look forward to hearing from God with you.

Last Fall our Fire Conference was centered on Jude 20:22. Pastor Jamie taught on “Who we are in Christ.”

This up and coming Conference in March will be based on the “Anointing.” What it is, How to maintain it and Servant Hood.

September of 2006

Interviews: by Karen Trevino

For myself it was an amazing time with the youth.  I manage the Café on Friday Nights but I worship with the adults.  I was able to connect with the youth and experience some of the revival and passion that they have been right in the middle of all along.  I and some of the others heard the angels singing and playing instruments that Friday night. It felt like we had gone to heaven. I interviewed some of our youth and here are their comments on what they received and what they are expecting for the conference in March.

Interview with LaRaine Trevino

K Trevino:        LaRaine what were some of your experiences during the Fire Conference last Fall?

LaRaine:           The worship was amazing, Pastor Jamie flowed in a new way that made me fall in love with the Lord all over again.

K Trevino:        What are you expecting to happen in this coming Conference?

LaRaine:           Wow, learning about the anointing and flowing in it!  It’s gonna be awesome. And I’m so looking forward to spending time with Calvary Youth, they’re amazing people.

Interview with Annie Hankins

K Trevino:        Annie what were some of your experiences during the Fire Conference last Fall?

Annie:   Revival!  It was completely amazing.  The Holy Spirit was so strong.  It was like I pressed into a new level of spirituality.

K Trevino:       That’s awesome!  So, what are you expecting to happen this March?

Annie:            Great teaching! I believe what I learn at this conference will prepare me for the rest of my life.

Interview with Josh Pingenot

K Trevino:        Josh what did you experience last Fall?

Josh Pingenot:  It was amazing, I felt like I got hit by a wrecking ball!

K Trevino:        Really, why do you say that?

Josh Pingenot:   Well, when I played with the wrecking ball I got hit.

K Trevino:        Would you say anything happened like that “spiritually speaking”?

Josh Pingenot:   Yeah, I would.  The Holy Spirit hit me so strong.  It totally changed my perspective on my walk with Christ.

K Trevino:        I’m so thrilled that you shared that experience with me Josh.  So, what are you expecting on this next conference?

Josh Pingenot:   The Holy Spirit is telling me that I will get even closer to Him than ever before and that I will grow in knowledge and understanding.

Interview with Josh Brown

K Trevino:        What did the Holy Spirit speak to you at the Fire Conference last Fall?

Josh Brown:     About forgiveness, not only about those whom have offended me, but at the same time, learning how to accept forgiveness from God. I used to feel like I was under condemnation all the time. Now when the devil reminds me of my past, I have learned through the teaching of Pastor Jamie that I have to remember according to the blood, that there is no past.  And that in the same way that God is able to forgive me. I should forgive a brother or sister in Christ.

K Trevino:        So have you heard about the subject matter for our next Fire Conference?

Josh Brown:     “No, I haven’t heard anything about what’s coming up.  The only thing I can say is that I feel that the Spirit of God has put it on my heart that this Conference is preparation.”  (Josh points to the Firehouse T-shirt He is wearing that says ARMY on it Based on Jude 1:20-23 Building the army of the Lord)  “God is raising up an army and this time is for training.  A soldier doesn’t just enter the military and go to war.  He must first be trained in what he must do and expect. Likewise, God is training the youth to become the frontline infantry in Christ.”

K Trevino:        The topic for this conference is about the Anointing.  How to develop it and maintain it.  And become a servant in it.

Josh Brown:     Wow! That really confirms what the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me.  The anointing, I’ve watched others flow in it so many times, myself I’ve cried out to God for it.

Spring Fire Conference

March 23rd - 24th, 2007

Interview with Sarah Valle of Calvary Church

K Trevino:  Sarah what are your thoughts on what you experience at the Fire Conference?

Sarah:  It had a powerful Impact on me!  I came feeling kind of lost, because I'm getting older. I'm getting ready to make a transition from youth and preparing for college.  I'd been having a lot of questions about what God has for my future.

K Trevino:  Did you come expecting to have these questions answered?

Sarah:   Yes I did, and the different messages on the anointing answered a lot of them.  Seeing everyone here and how they are in the glory all the time has shown me new freedom.  How to open up and allow light to shine in the crevasses of my heart.  It was neat to see how another youth group works.  I gave me a different perspective. I found a door that can be opened in my heart that I never expected to find.

Interview with Ralph Head

Youth Pastor of Calvary Church

K Trevino:  Pastor Ralph we are blessed to have had you and your youth join us at this conference. What were your expectations when you came to the Fire Conference.

Pastor Ralph: To see God reveal himself to teenagers and move them to fulfill their destiny.  Teach them to walk in the power that God has for them.  I have prayed that they would have a focus shift and get their priorities right.

K Trevino:  Has the conference gone beyond your expectations?

Pastor Ralph:  Yes!  Seeing how God revealed himself during the worship time.  He revealed His love to them and healed hurts.  Showed them who they are and what they can be.  I wanted to see God move but more than that I wanted to see them go home with a change that will prepare them for a lifetime. God did that and more.

Interview with Alex Aguilar

K Trevino:  What did you expect from this conference.

Alex:  To be better than ever.  I wanted to see breakthrough in my life and for others to see God in a way that they have never seen before.

K Trevino:  How did the conference effect you?

Alex:  God showed me some emotions that I had hidden deep inside me since I was a little girl and how to let go of them.  I've grown more intimate with God.  He showed me how precious we all are in His sight.  This conference has united the youth and opened doors for ministry within the youth.

Interview with Wil Barnett

K Trevino: Wil you are a sponsor for the youth, what did you come expecting?

Wil:  I prayed and asked the Lord for lives to be 'radically' changed.

K Trevino:  Tell some of what you experienced in the conference.

Wil:  I saw people finding the love of God and loving on Him.  Love so thick I could just drink it in.  I prayed that God would put the same fire that He put in me into the hearts of everyone there.

K Trevino:  How about personally, what did God show you?

Wil:  He pushed my experience to another level of heavy anointing.  I got to participate in reaching out and laying hands and praying for people.  They laid hands on me and anointed me to pray for others and by the Spirit I was given discernment.  It was a new experience to have the Holy Spirit show me exactly how to pray for someone.  I saw into their heart what God wanted to do for them. It was an awesome amazing  experience.
